Welcome to Kelsie Marie Photography! By booking a session or utilizing our photography services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your booking.
1. Booking and Payment
A 50% non-refundable session retainer is required at the time of booking to secure your session. The remaining balance is due on or before the session date.

Sessions are not confirmed until the session retainer has been received.
2. Cancellation and Rescheduling
The 50% session retainer fee will not be refunded if the client cancels.
If the photographer needs to cancel due to an emergency, the session retainer will be returned to the client unless an alternative solution is agreed upon.
Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
If a client cancels after paying the full session amount, only 50% of the total cost will be reimbursed if cancellation occurs at least 48 hours prior to the session.
Day-of cancellations and no-shows will not receive any reimbursement.
3. Copyright and Usage
Kelsie Marie Photography retains full copyright ownership of all images.
Clients receive personal usage rights for non-commercial purposes, including social media sharing and personal printing.
Clients may not edit, modify, or alter images without prior written consent from Kelsie Marie Photography.
Kelsie Marie Photography reserves the right to use images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the portfolio, website, and social media.
4. Model Release
By booking a session, the client grants Kelsie Marie Photography permission to use images containing the client’s likeness for promotional and portfolio purposes.
If the client prefers to keep images private, this must be communicated in writing before the session.
5. Liability and Limitations of Liability
Kelsie Marie Photography takes all reasonable precautions to ensure image safety and backups. However, in the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., equipment failure, memory card corruption), liability is limited to reshooting the event or providing a partial refund at the photographer’s discretion.
Kelsie Marie Photography and/or Kelsie Hancock is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or illnesses acquired during the session. All poses, movements, and locations are performed at the client’s discretion. If the client feels unsafe, they should immediately inform the photographer so adjustments can be made.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for arriving on time and prepared for the session. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session.
If the session includes children, the client is responsible for their supervision at all times.
Clients must obtain necessary permissions for shooting in private locations if required.
7. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of God, war, pandemics, or government restrictions.
In such cases, sessions will be rescheduled where possible, or refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
8. Editing and Delivery
Standard editing (color correction, exposure adjustment, and light retouching) is included in all packages. Extensive editing requests (such as body alterations or object removal) may incur additional charges.
Final images will be delivered within [X] weeks via an online gallery.
RAW files will not be provided. Clients receive high-resolution edited images.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms will first be addressed through mediation. If unresolved, arbitration may be pursued in accordance with California law.
